I must apologize to 23 Sherwood Drive readers out there. The end of the school year in 1965 converged unpleasantly with the end of the school year in 2006, resulting in lengthy pauses in the 1965 diary and my own posts. There will be a flurry of entries over the next couple of weeks, and then a long silence, as I headed off for a summer as a program aide at Camp Maria Pratt, in Goshen, Connecticut. Instead, I will post reminiscences and photos from the summer of 1965 on a weekly basis, beginning June 19, when the diary falls silent.
